Jake played in the State tennis tournament on Friday, May 9th at Liberty Park. He won his first match against Davis in a tie break. 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
In his second match he was not so lucky, but gave it a darn good try. He lost to Brighton (who continued on to take first place in the tournament) 6-0, 6-0.
He had a great time playing tennis this season and making it to state has been a great accomplishment. Way to go Jake!!!
Jake is planning on teaching tennis lessons for the PG city recreation again this summer.
